Collins Lake bluegill, crappie, and trout

By Kathy Hess, Collins Lake Reporter
06/03/16 -- Even though we didn't see as many trout catches this week, the quality is still amazing. At the end of last week Don & Dana Feryance ended their camping trip with a huge 5 lb. rainbow and sent us a photo via their i phone.

Vic & Norm from Lincoln topped the charts this week with their gigantic 6 lb. 12 oz. trout along with a 3 lb. 12 oz. trout, trolling a broken back Rapala.

Scott Romaine from Menifee used chunky cheese PowerBait near the dam and hooked onto a 5 lb. 12 oz. rainbow as well.

The McKay family caught 15 bluegill on the east side of the lake using worms also.

Pete Henderson & Bob Boyer fished across the lake trolling a Wedding Ring Spinner and a worm and took home 9 trout!
